Introduction

We are Quine Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12777620 and with our registered office at 3rd Floor 1 Ashley Road, Altrincham, Cheshire, United Kingdom, WA14 2DT (“Quine”, “we”, “our” and “us”). We operate the website quine.sh.

Quine operates a marketplace for open source tasks allowing independent developers (“Developers”) to build and monetise their skills by contributing to open source projects and micro-tasks related to them (“Quests”) posted by commercial open source companies (“Buyers”). We do this on our platform which we make available at quine.sh (“Platform”).

Buyers can advertise Quests on the Platform for a predetermined fee set by the Buyer posting the relevant Quest (“Bounty”). Developers may browse Quests on the Platform, and enquire about and/or agree to perform Quests in exchange for the Bounty.

Quine provides the following services to Buyers and Developers (“Services”):

In exchange for providing the Services, Quine charges the Buyers a service fee in addition to the Bounty payable to the Developer (“Subscription Fee”). By signing up to the Platform, the Buyers agree to pay the applicable Subscription Fee and/or subscription fees and/or transaction fees as set out in these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions relate to the provision of the Services by Quine to Buyers and Developers. It does not relate to the provision of services or completion of Quests by Developers for Buyers. Our role is limited to the Services listed above and, once a Developer agrees to perform a Quest for a Buyer, a contract will be formed directly between the Buyer and the Developer in relation to the performance of that Quest.
